Takeaway:
Our motivation was to platform the stories of those not always showcased in society. Muslim women’s voices are oftentimes overlooked and underrepresented in the media; it was an honor to break that cycle, by collaborating with the Institute for Women’s Leadership to ensure that their experiences at Rutgers were heard. It was rewarding to see the project come together; it reaffirmed our belief that media is an essential tool in educating and enacting change.
