Interviewing individuals about a sensitive topic is a challenge -- compounded when you ask your subject to step in front of a camera. That requires compassion and empathy, and retaining some distance from one's feelings. Questions must be carefully phrased in order to keep the subject comfortable, while still eliciting honest and frank responses. The final challenge was condensing a half hour of footage down to two minutes of compelling information that tells a complete story.
