Takeaway:
I learned that Hindu religiosity involves a unique theologically-driven motivation for community-based religious engagement: seva, or service to God. Beliefs that "God resides within all beings" motivate and translate efficiently into practice through service to the community. Covering this story was a rewarding experience, primarily because I met so many dedicated volunteers who were so eager to share their love for their religious tradition.
